A Transparent Explanation of Matrimony Points
Matrimony.fr is built around one simple rule: the parts of the platform that matter most for finding a compatible match are, and always will be, free. This article explains exactly what that means, and how the optional Matrimony Points system works for the one thing that isn't free.

None of this ever requires a payment, a subscription, or Matrimony Points. If your account doesn't have any points, you can still use every one of these features exactly as before.
What Matrimony Points are for
The one optional paid feature is unlocking a specific member's contact details (their phone number and WhatsApp). Members' contact information is protected by default — it is never shown in search results, never included in page source, and never exposed through any public page. You can gain access to a specific person's contact details in one of two ways:
- An administrator grants you access — free of charge, at the admin's discretion, exactly as this platform has always worked.
- You choose to unlock it yourself using Matrimony Points — an entirely optional alternative, available if the administrator has enabled it.
Once you've unlocked a profile — by either method — you can view that same person's contact details again at any time, for free. You are never charged twice for the same profile.
How the pricing works
Matrimony Points are purchased with real money at a conversion rate set by the platform administrator (for example, 1 EUR might equal 10 points — the exact current rate is always shown before you pay). Unlocking one profile's contact details costs a fixed number of points, also set by the administrator and always shown to you in advance.
Prices can change over time, but a rate change only affects future purchases — if you've already bought points, or already unlocked a profile, that transaction keeps the exact price and terms that applied when you made it. Nothing about a past purchase is ever retroactively altered.
Payment security
Card payments are processed by Stripe, a payment processor used by millions of businesses worldwide. Matrimony.fr never sees, stores, or has access to your full card number — it is entered directly on Stripe's own secure payment page. You'll always see the exact amount and number of points you're about to receive before you confirm payment.
Refunds
Because you receive your points immediately upon payment, purchases are generally non-refundable once completed — except where a refund is required by the consumer-protection law of your country of residence. Full details are in our Terms of Sale.
